LS 4

Circuit Breaker Control & Protection

The LS 4 offers a simple solution for complex switchgear applications. The LS 4 has the ability to operate with up to 14 GCP-31 genset controls and 8 LS 4 circuit breaker controllers.
A two line LC display shows the configured names of the analog measuring inputs.
Each controlled breaker is equipped with one LS 4 that measures the three-phase voltage on either side of the breaker (phase angle configurable). Each side of the breaker is designated as either a fixed (utility) or variable (genset) source. This permits the LS 4 to control utility feeder breakers with one fixed source and one variable source, or tie breakers between busses with two variable sources. The LS 4 is used for breaker protection, synchronization, and load control.
